An Office-Based Lab, or OBL, is a fully equipped procedure suite inside our office. Once your in-house ultrasound identifies a narrowed or blocked artery, or a vein that needs treatment, many patients can move straight into a minimally invasive procedure — the same techniques used at a hospital, performed by Dr. Brookshire, without checking into one.
That means shorter visits, faster recovery, and high-quality vascular care without a hospital stay. And for the cases where open surgery genuinely is the better option, Dr. Brookshire performs that himself as well.

From Diagnosis to Treatment, One Team
Treatment starts with an accurate diagnosis. Our In-House Ultrasound Lab uses ABI testing and duplex ultrasound to confirm exactly where a blockage or faulty vein is located, so the procedure that follows is targeted and appropriate — not exploratory.
Not every case is right for an in-office procedure. When open surgical repair is genuinely the better option, Dr. Brookshire performs that himself, with the same continuity of care.
